Line Freeze

By the Bettor Alerts team · Updated May 29, 2026

One sportsbook has stopped moving while the rest of the market keeps going — leaving a frozen, off-market price.

What it is

The market is still moving, but one sportsbook has gone quiet and is holding a number everyone else has moved away from — a frozen, off-market price.

Why it is valuable

A frozen line lets you bet a number the rest of the market has already left behind. When the book finally updates, that price is gone — so while it is still posted, it is value.

How to react

Check which way the rest of the market moved, then take that side at the frozen book while its stale number is still up — it will correct as soon as the book starts moving again.
